CDPA Submits Health Brief to Senate

The CDPA Secretariat working with Steven Christianson of the March of Dimes Government Relations department recently made a submission to the Senate of Canada’s Committe on Social Affiars, Science and Technology to guide their discussions on the renewal of the healthcare accord.

The CDPA’s submission asserts the particular importance of consideration of people with disabilities in improvements to the health care system. Currently, little sustained attention has been given to the unique needs of people with disabilities within the health care system. The policy brief which urged members of the Committee to consider the unique needs of people with disabilities within future Healthcare Accords can be viewed by following the link below.
