Consultation on National Accessibility Legislation

Under the expert leadership of Spinal Cord Injury Canada, CDPA and CDPP have partnered with 28 community organizations to provide advice to the federal Minister of Sport and People with Disabilities, the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, on what to include in new national accessibility legislation.  This 18-month project is part of an extensive public consultation on the issues and barriers facing disabled Canadians.  Our project focuses on the gaps in federal policy that create barriers.  To that end, we have created a virtual “postcard” and shared it with the Minister, that lists the many resources available through the CDPA website to inform and assist in this process.  Please help yourself to a copy and share it with your colleagues.
